Andrew (Drew) Mercer

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND 

Born and raised in Jacksonville, NC, Andrew (Drew) Mercer went on to graduate from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC to obtain his Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Economics, and shortly thereafter moved closer to home to begin his career. 

Upon graduation, Drew knew he wanted to move back home to the coast to stay close to family. In his words, "I was given an opportunity to move home and work in the property and casualty insurance side of the business for the last three years where I grew tremendously, personally and professionally. Now, I am excited to be taking on this new role with MassMutual Carolinas while working alongside my family and with a company and brand that I believe in." 

Currently based out of Jacksonville, NC, Drew works with MassMutual Carolinas to provide his clients comprehensive financial planning and ongoing wealth management. His "why" as to why he chooses the work that he does every day is rooted in his faith. "I want to strive to try to do the next right thing - always to be a light, and help people achieve their financial goals." 

As a member of many organizations including the Onslow County Civic Affairs Committee, Jacksonville Jaycees, and the Board of Trustees of the Trinity Methodist Church, Drew enjoys volunteering - especially at his church as a Youth Ministries Leader and Church Worship Band Member. Besides dedicating time to be with his friends, family, and community, Drew is also a lover of the outdoors - spending much of his free time at the beach, on a boat, fishing, surfing, and playing sports.
